Although the EU Whistleblower Directive obliges companies with 50 or more employees to implement a whistleblower system, the Hintbox can be used regardless of the number of employees or subsidiaries. The EU Whistleblower Directive also obliges all legal entities in the public sector to implement a whistleblower system for which we provide a solution, just as we do for ombudspersons.

With the Hintbox, public sector legal entities and entities owned or controlled by such a legal entity meet the requirements for implementing a whistleblower system in accordance with the requirements of the EU Whistleblower Directive (2019/1937). The HINTBOX strengthens additional trust in the integrity, neutrality and objectivity of public administration. The Hintbox can be another instrument of the administration to "nip in the bud" the suspicion of an "evil appearance" of the administration by giving public authority employees and citizens the possibility to report irregularities and violations of the law via the digital whistleblower system to a neutral person or body - also anonymously.

The Hintbox includes many functionalities. The integrated triage system evaluates incoming cases and prioritizes them automatically. Our digital whistleblowing system accompanies compliance officers and processors in organizing the next steps and stores the history of previous interactions and actively supports you in meeting deadlines, such as providing feedback to the reporter on the current processing status and several other deadlines. After submitting a tip, login credentials are generated for the user. With these, the whistleblower can log in to his or her hintbox at any time, write messages, upload additional files or create a new report, and do so anonymously if necessary. Nevertheless, our digital whistleblowing system handles many parts of the communication between the whistleblower and the processor.

Companies can customize our digital whistleblowing system as they wish. Groups of companies can create additional companies in the digital whistleblower system. When submitting a report, whistleblowers can then select a specific company to which the report applies. In the course of this, companies can control the access rights of managers and agents to companies and cases in the digital whistleblower system and also involve external persons in case processing. In total, the Hintbox is available in 24 languages and with an automatic translation function.
